The SmartDial® concept was pioneered by twin brothers, Scott and Kent Sorensen, when they founded what is now known as IAT in 1986. They were among the first in the World to recognize the productivity advancements made possible by linking computer technology with the telephone, and they were the first to design automated telephone contacting technology tailored specifically for the collection industry. IAT is a privately held company headquartered at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City, Utah.
